How much do AdMob pay per click?

The amount an advertiser pays for each click on their ads. Advertisers set CPC bids to tell AdMob how much they’re willing to pay for each click.

Cost-per-click (CPC)

Cost per click (CPC) is a payment model that requires an advertiser to pay the publisher for each instance when their ad was clicked – this would be inside the publisher’s inventory, which can be a mobile app or website. CPC is calculated by dividing the total cost of your clicks by the total number of clicks.

Just like CPI, cost per click varies per advertising platform, the geography of an ad campaign audience, and other factors.

Currently, an average CPC for one of the top mobile advertising platforms, Google’s AdWords, is about $2.32 per click. This model serves as the most basic KPI advertisers need to keep in check while they run ad campaigns to drive installs for their apps, or sales for any product they advertise.

Pro Tips

Although the following tips aren’t written in stone, we believe that they will improve your chances of getting accepted by AdSense.

  • Your website should be at least 3 months old.
  • You should have at least 30 articles published that are unique and valuable to readers.
  • There is no minimum traffic amount that you should have, however the more, the better.

How Does Payment Work

There is a minimum threshold of $100 that you need to earn in ad revenue before you can get paid. Also, keep in mind that Google follows a net 30 payment term. As an example, when you earn ad revenue during September, your revenue will be sent out to you in the first week of November – 30 days after the billable month is over.

Is google Adsense free?

AdSense is a free program that gives you a fast and easy way to display relevant Google ads on your result pages. When users click on an ad in your search results, you get a share of the ad revenue. For more information about AdSense, see the Help Center.

If you don’t have an AdSense account, you can apply for one by going to Google AdSense website. If you already have an AdSense account, don’t create a new one; just associate the existing one with your search engine. All search engines in your account will automatically be associated with that AdSense account.

You can also associate your existing AdSense account with your search engine in the context file by following these steps:

  1. Find your AdSense ID.
  2. Associate the AdSense publisher ID with the search engine.

Finding Your AdSense ID

If you already have an AdSense account, you can find your unique AdSense publisher ID by signing in to your AdSense account. Your publisher ID number is above the help search box in the top corner. Alternatively, you can find your publisher ID within the generated AdSense code that you insert in the HTML code of your webpage. Locate the line that has: google_ad_client="pub-1234567890123456" ; the number is the ID.

Associating a Search Engine with an AdSense Account

To associate a search engine with an AdSense account, add the AdSense element in the XML specification (the context XML file), like this:

<CustomSearchEngine id="my_first_cse" creator="0123456789"
keywords="cars" language="en">
  <Title>Automobile Search</Title>
  <Description>Car Search</Description>
  <Context>
    <BackgroundLabels>
      <Label name="_cse_my_first_cse" mode="FILTER" />
      <Label name="_cse_exclude_my_first_cse" mode="ELIMINATE" />
    </BackgroundLabels>
  </Context>
  <LookAndFeel nonprofit="false" />
  <AdSense>
    <Client id="pub-9876543210" />
  </AdSense>
</CustomSearchEngine>

The XML has the following hierarchy:

  • CustomSearchEngine
    • Title
    • Description
    • Context
    • LookAndFeel
    • AdSense
      • Client id

Can we use Admob without Adsense?

AdSense is a Google product that provides a way for website owners to earn money from their online content. AdSense works by matching text and display ads to sites based on their content and visitors. The ads are created and paid for by advertisers who want to promote their products.

Because AdMob relies on AdSense to support some of its functionality, an AdSense account is required to use AdMob.

  • If you don’t have an AdSense account, we’ll help you create one when you sign up for AdMob.
  • If you already have an AdSense account, sign up for AdMob using the Google Account associated with your existing AdSense account.
